OUR HISTORY:
Cincinnati School of Music is a family-owned company, established by a husband and wife team with a passion for music and community. The couple first started what is now the Cincinnati School of Music in 2009. With a background in music performance, music education, and business they saw the noteworthy amount of musical talent in Cincinnati and wanted to create a professional music education space and community where professional musicians could share their talents and passions by teaching music to students of all ages and abilities in the community. In 2012 they opened their first commercial location. From there, the couple worked tirelessly to expand their talent recruitment to meet CSM’s increasing demand as enrollment continued to grow. Today, CSM has three convenient locations in Mason, Montgomery, and Anderson, two of which have been expanded since opening to accommodate the growing student enrollment.
Named one of Ohio's 50 Best Workplaces for three years, voted "Best Music Instruction" in Cincy Magazine six years in a row, and recognized as "The Face of Music Instruction" in Cincinnati Magazine, and CSM looks forward to continuing to meet and exceed our community's expectations!
Today, the Cincinnati School of Music is now the largest private community music school in Cincinnati. CSM is an energetic, innovative music school with a growing, friendly community of over 50 highly-qualified instructors and four administrative/management staff. CSM’s office is extremely organized and the admin team handles all student recruiting and promotion, registration, scheduling, make-up lessons, billing, policies, special projects, recitals, and much more. From the beginning, CSM’s focus has been on fostering a sense of community and teamwork among our staff, with an emphasis on the quality of education offered to students. An essential part of CSM that allows the community to enjoy such a high level of music education is the environment, which is welcoming, energetic, fast-paced, fun, and supportive.
